Gerson's Healthy Breakfast Recommendation: Homemade Apple Sauce (Cooked Version)

🍎 Apple, one of the most common fruits, is a natural health medicine box. Today, I'm going to share with you a simple, easy-to-make, healthful and delicious apple sauce (cooked), which is perfect for daily breakfast or light meals.

🥣 Ingredients (for 2 people) 3 medium-sized apples, pitted and cut into small pieces ¼ cup purified water (optional) 1 teaspoon honey or other permitted sweeteners (optional)

👩‍🍳 Method steps put the apple chunks and purified water in a small pot. After boiling, turn to low heat and simmer slowly. Cover the pot and cook for 15 to 20 minutes until the apples become soft. Put the apples into the grinding section of a puer juicer or blend them into a puree with a grinder.

Mix in the sweetener and lemon juice, and it's ready to eat.

✨ For a finer texture: use a food processor or a potato puree to blend. For a richer flavor: You can add some dried fruits when stewing to make stewed apples.

📌 Tips if you add a little more purified water, you can speed up the cooking time and make the apple sauce smoother.

📖 Health tip: Apple sauce is not only suitable for adults, but also for the elderly and children. It is a sweet and reassuring choice to pair with oatmeal and bread for breakfast, or to enjoy directly. Choose organic apples to avoid pesticide residues. Lemon juice not only prevents oxidation but also helps retain the vitamin C in apples. If used as part of the Gerson therapy diet, it is recommended not to add sugar and to maintain the natural flavor.
